Urispas is an oral antispasmodic drug approved to prevent bladder spasms caused by urethral catheterization, infectious and /or inflammatory diseases of the urogenital system or neurological disorders.
Due to the fact that Urispas exerts an antispasmodic effect on the bladder, it is possible to restore quickly the ability to control urination, to reduce the frequency of urination, as well as to alleviate the burning sensation, pain, and discomfort during urination. Urispas tablets can be administered to children older than 12 years and adults to:
- alleviate suprapubic pain in patients with painful bladder syndrome;
- reduce discomfort or burning during urination in patients with dysuria;
- reduce urinary urgency and frequency of urination at night in patients with nocturia;
- prevent sudden, strong urge to urinate and ease discomfort in bladder in patients with and without urinary tract infection;
- prevent bladder spasms before urethral catheterization in postoperative period;
- prevent spasms in the bladder and urinary tract in patients with overactive bladder syndrome.
Missed Dose
If it is happened that you’ve missed a usual dose of Urispas, check if it is not almost time for the next tablet. If it is, just skip the missed dose of Urispas and return to your regular dosing schedule.
More Information
To relieve painful urination and improve urodynamic parameters, more than 4 Urispas 200mg tablets in four divided doses can be used per day.
Storage
The optimal storage temperature of Urispas is 25°C, herewith a short storage of tablets at temperature of 15°C-30°C is permitted.
