Drug Uses
Fosamax is a bone metabolism regulator, which helps people with osteoporosis to rebuild their bones and prevent bones from developing fractures. Osteoporosis is a disease that affects the bone tissue, and leads to bone fragility and frequent fractures.
The bone metabolism regulator Fosamax is indicated for treatment and prevention of:

For the treatment of metabolic bone diseases, men and women are advised to take Fosamax 10 mg daily or one 70 mg Fosamax pill once a week. The treatment duration with Fosamax is adjusted for each patient individually, and can range from 3 to 5 years.
Missed Dose
Fosamax is recommended to be taken 10 mg daily or 70 mg once a week. If you forget to take your daily dose of Fosamax, wait for the time of the next dose if it comes soon, and skip the missed dose of the bone metabolism regulator. Doubling of Fosamax dose may cause side effects. If you’ve missed 1 weekly dose of Fosamax, you can take it the next morning and then return to compliance with the usual dosing regime of Fosamax.
