Drug Uses
Estrace is a synthetic micronized estradiol, which helps restore the deficiency of natural hormone oestrogen and reduce menopause symptoms such as:
- Urogenital atrophy
- The loss of ovarian function
- Increase or decrease in bone tissues
Estrace pills are effective in treatment of: hypogonadism, cancerous tumor in the mammary glands, prostate cancer, primary and secondary osteoporosis. Also, Estrace can be indicated to treat metastatic disease in adult men and women.
Hormonal therapy involves the intake of 1mg or 2mg doses of Estrace once or several times a day. To treat tumors in men and women, 30mg Estrace should be taken per day in three separate doses.
Missed dose
If you’ve forgotten to take Estrace at the scheduled time, take the hormonal drug as soon as you remember. But if it is the time for the next dose of Estrace, skip the missed one, do not take a double dose and never use extra hormonal drugs to make up for missed dose of Estrace.
